sugar (चीनी) or jaggery powder (गुड़ पाउडर) - optional

How To Make Aamras Recipe
Peel and chop the mangoes and place them in a blender jar. Add some sugar if the mangoes are too sour.
After that, blend the mangoes into a smooth pulp. Check the flavor and, if necessary, add more sugar.
To thin out the Aamras, add some milk or water and blend again. However, if you add too much, it will turn into a drink.
In a mixing bowl, combine the mango pulp and the yogurt.
Then add the cardamom powder and saffron strands and mix well. I only used about 2 to 3 teaspoons of sugar in this recipe, and the difference in texture is noticeable. The addition of sugar thins the consistency of the mango pulp slightly.
