Veg Fried Rice Recipe
for cooking rice
- 2 cups basmati rice (बासमती चावल)
- water (पानी) as required for soaking and cooking rice
Vegetable for Veg Fried Rice
- 1 piece carrot (गाजर) finely chopped
- 1/4 cup capsicum (शिमला मिर्च) finely chopped
- 1/4 cup french beans (फ्रेंच बीन्स) finely chopped
- 1/4 cup cabbage (बंद-गोभी) finely chopped
- 2 pieces of spring onion (हरा प्याज़) finely chopped
- 2 pieces of chopped green chili (कटा हुआ हरी मिर्च)
- 1/4 cup mushroom (मशरुम) finely chopped
- 2 tablespoon oil (तेल)
- 1 piece of star anise (चक्र फूल) small in size
- 1 petal of mace (जावित्री)
- 1 teaspoon dark soya sauce (काला सोया सॉस)
- 1 teaspoon vinegar (सिरका)
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder (काली मिर्च पाउडर)
- salt to taste (नमक स्वाद अनुसार)
How to cook rice
- Wash the basmati rice thoroughly with water and clean it. Then after that, soak the rice for half an hour.
- Now after half an hour, add rice to a pressure cooker and add water to cook until cooked.
Preparing Vegetable for Veg Fried Rice Recipe
- To make the veg fried rice recipe, firstly wash and clean make the seasonal vegetables.
- Then chop the beans finely, finely chop the green onions, finely chop the carrots. Then cover all the vegetables and put them aside.
How to prepare Veg Fried Rice
- After all the vegetable is chopped. Put one Karahai on the gas stove on medium flame to warm up a little. Then after that add 2 tablespoons of oil to the Karahai, let it be hot and start smoking.
- When the oil starts smoking, add cumin seeds, mustard seeds and finely chopped garlic in it. Then you will add star anise and 1 petal of mace in it.
- Then after finely add chopped green chilies, mix them together.
- Increase the temperature by turning the gas on medium-high flame. After that start putting all the vegetables one by one.
- Mix them together well while frying them.
- Now add 1 teaspoon of soya sauce, 1 teaspoon of vinegar, salt to taste and fry it for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Then add cooked rice into it, after that add half teaspoon of black pepper powder, mix all the ingredients well and fry for another 2 minutes.
- Our Veg Fried Rice is ready and we can serve it by garnishing it with green onions.
