  • 1 kilogram of ladyfinger (भिन्डी)
  • 2 pieces onion (प्याज) -chopped
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste (अदरक-लहसुन का पेस्ट)
  • 1 tablespoon coriander powder (धनिया पाउडर)
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds (जीरा)
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder (लाल मिर्च पाउडर)
  • 1 teaspoon dry mango powder (आमचूर पाउडर)
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder (हल्दी पाउडर)
  • salt to taste (नमक स्वाद अनुसार)
  • oil (तेल)


How to Make Bhindi Masala

  • Wash and cut bhindi in halves.
  • Heat oil in a wok or kadhai. Add cumin seeds and let it splutter.
  • Add chopped onions and ginger garlic paste. Fry till golden brown.
  • Now add cut bhindi with rest off the spices and stir well.
  • Cook it on medium flame and keep stirring it occasionally so it does not stick at the bottom.
  • Keep frying till bhindis are cooked.
  • Serve bhindi masala hot with chapatis.
